When is the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix?
Race day is Sunday, October 11, 2026 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, with the Racing Passport trip window running October 8 to 12. The package includes four nights.
Why does Singapore run at night?
It has been a night race since 2008, partly for European broadcast times and partly because Marina Bay under floodlights is the most visually spectacular setting in Formula 1. The city skyline is the backdrop for the entire race.
How hard is the heat and humidity for spectators?
Singapore is close to the equator and humid year round, and even a night race is warm. Drivers lose several kilos over a race distance. For spectators it means lightweight clothing, steady hydration, and choosing viewing with some shade or air conditioning if you are sensitive to heat.
Is Singapore a good race for overtaking?
Not especially, and that is the point. The street layout limits passing opportunities, which pushes the result onto strategy and pit timing. Safety cars are frequent on a street circuit, so the running order can invert late.
