The Race

The Action Track. Three-quarters of a mile.

Richmond Raceway is a 0.75-mile, D-shaped short track that has been on the NASCAR calendar since 1953. The track's characteristics -- tight corners, high banking, progressive groove -- create close racing from green to checkered. Pass and counterpass is the norm, not the exception.

At a short track the sight lines are excellent and every part of the circuit is visible from most grandstand positions. The intimacy of short track NASCAR is something the superspeedways cannot offer.

The Hotel
