Most Kentucky Derby trips are built around Louisville and one day at Churchill Downs. This package is structured differently. The four-night base is The Origin Hotel in Lexington, at The Summit at Fritz Farm, in the heart of horse country. The weekend programming is calibrated for bourbon enthusiasts and travelers who want the Bluegrass story alongside the race itself.
Thursday opens with a welcome reception led by a local bourbon expert and a curated tasting of Kentucky's finest brands. Friday and Saturday include a working horse farm tour with behind-the-scenes access, a three-course luncheon at a notable Lexington restaurant, a private tour and tasting at Town Branch Distillery with a Create Your Own Bottle experience, and a tour of historic Keeneland Race Course paired with a visit to Old Friends Farm, where Kentucky Derby champions retire.
