Weren't they running third? Now they're back in tenth." And I'll tell you exactly what happened, and what it means for the next four hours. My Rolex 24 started in Victory Lane.
Mine didn't start in the grandstands. It started in 2019, at the Roar Before the 24, embedded with 47 Motorsports in the IMSA Prototype Challenge, alongside drivers Jonathan Jorge, Joel Janco, and a young Kyle Kirkwood, before most people outside the paddock knew his name. The race ran partly in the rain, every driver took a turn behind the wheel, and it ended the only way you dream it does: a win, and a trip to Victory Lane.
Then Jonathan Jorge, who has spotted the Rolex 24 countless times, gave me an insider look at spotting for the race, from up top: where to look, what's about to happen, how the whole thing turns while everyone else is staring at the wrong car. That is the passion and the understanding I bring to your weekend.
And this isn't a hobby I picked up last year. I've been to nearly a hundred IndyCar races, a dozen at IMSA, and more NASCAR Sundays and Saturday-night short-track races than I could ever count. The love for it is real, and it tends to be contagious.

We're in the garages early, before the crowds, up close to the GTP prototypes and the GT field while the crews prep. By the time the flag drops you already know the cars to watch and the storylines about to play out, so the start isn't just noise, it's the opening move.
High in the grandstands for the green flag, the whole field pouring down toward Turn 1 at once. Then to the pit lane, where the race is really won. A Rolex 24 stop is an orchestrated thing: refueling, tire changes, chassis adjustments, and a driver change, a whole crew moving in sequence. I'll tell you a stop is coming and what it means before the car turns in.
The sun going down through the International Horseshoe with the cars still flying, then the fireworks from up in the stands around ten, the moment the whole mood of the place turns. After that, the night is yours: rest up, or stay in it for the part most people sleep through, with check-ins through the night for anyone who wants the full twenty-four hours.

Saturday, Race Day
Before the crowds. Straight into the garages while it's still quiet, up close to the GTP prototypes and the GT field as the crews make their final prep. The access everyone else waits in line for later.
The grid. We dip into the grid walk for the atmosphere and the cars up close, then slip out ahead of the crush. By the time the flag drops, you already know which cars to watch.
The green flag. We take the start from high in the grandstands, a clean look at the whole field pouring down into Turn 1 at once.
The race settles in. Down to pit road for the stops, refueling, tires, driver changes, the orchestrated work that quietly wins the race, with the strategy read as it happens.
The International Horseshoe. We're there as the light goes gold and the cars stream through, the shot you've seen a hundred times and never believed you'd be standing in.
The fireworks. From up in the elevated stands, the moment the whole mood of the place turns and the night running begins.

Do I have to book a travel package through you?
No. You'll need your own arrangements to be at the track that weekend, which for most people means a place to stay and race tickets. If you already have that handled, great, just add the host on top. If you'd rather not piece it together, we have full Rolex 24 packages available (a room three blocks from the gate, reserved seats, and more), and we can set both up together.
Is it really worth it, whether it's my first Rolex 24 or my fifth?
Both, for different reasons. If you've never been, a guide turns twenty-four confusing hours into the race you'll measure every other against. If you've been before, this is the year you finally get inside the garages early and read the strategy instead of watching from the fence. The access is the same either way. What you actually get out of it isn't.
How big is the group? Will it feel like a tour bus?
No, and it never will, because I don't run it that way. It's kept small on purpose: a host on the ground with you and your group, walking the garage, not a coach tour behind a raised flag. Although we might use one to keep everyone together in the crowd, and at six foot five, I'm not exactly hard to find either.
What exactly happens when I reserve?
